We are still operational

Like many other churches we have now closed our Sunday morning gathered worship services. But we have NOT shut-down, we are open and will continue to help you worship God, care for you and help you to care for others. One unexpected aspect of this is that we have been asked to provide a slot each Sunday on the local community radio station. So we will be preparing some music, a message and prayers for that slot. Dealing with the Covid -19 Virus

The elders have met to discuss our response and responsibilities with regard to the Covid-19 virus outbreak. We have decided to take the following steps in response to guidance from the NZ Government, Baptist Union and Health Officials.We will continue with services and small group meetings while there are no reported cases of community transmission of the virus. Coming Up this week

This week we will be thinking about now Jesus welcomed those who were on the fringes of society. We will be looking at the story of The Ten Lepers, found in Luke 17:11-19 who were banned from society because they were considered unclean.  A bit like being put in to isolation while the authorities check if you have Covid-19, except that in Jesus day people assumed you were sick because you had sinned and sinners were pushed to the fringes of society. Mainly Music Has Started!

What a great start to Mainly Music last week. Lots of caregivers and their little ones turned up to move to the music and enjoy getting to know each other. If you would like to come and join us then you are most welcome.  Mainly Music runs every Wednesday from 10am for half an hour during the school term. It is followed by a time for children to play and for everyone to have morning tea together....
