This coming Sunday we are going to be reflecting on prayer – prayer as the basis of our relationship with God. Today one of our elders suggested that as we look to the future we need to be praying – asking God what it is we should be focussing on and doing post Covid-19. This is perhaps the hardest form of prayer – where we keep our requests silent and instead seek to hear God’s voice. It is so easy to tell God what we think we need or to ask things on behalf of others but taking time to listen isn’t quite so easy. This week can I encourage you as you meet with God, to listen, to hear God’s invitation to the future whatever that might be for you or for us as a church.
