Moving forward

Two weeks ago the elders met to think and pray about the future of PBC especially in the light of the recent lockdown. We talked about those factors outside of our church which impact upon us and also the opportunities that are now before us. The lockdown may have stopped us from gathering in person but an opportunity opened up to us when we were asked to provide a radio format church service on Coast FM. While daunting at first, many of you have helped provide the welcome and prayers for that service. As we move out of lockdown this opportunity still exists and the elders are keen for us to carry on providing material for this on-air service.

We also spent time thinking about the needs of our community and possible ways to serve those in need especially those impacted by Covid-19. We would love to hear any thoughts you may have on how we could do that. We hope to update you with more on this soon.

This week Mainly Music, our music and movement programme will restart. If you have small children and would like to join us it kicks off at 10.00am on Wednesday 24 June in our church building.

This Sunday we will continue looking at the book of Acts and the story of Jesus and the growth of the early church - this emerging community of people devoted to following Jesus. Our focus on Sunday will be on Saul who initially opposed the early church but went on to become one of its greatest advocates.

Oh and for those who are unable to join us we will still have an on-air service for you  @10.30am and again @ 8pm on Thursday evening on Coast Access Radio 104.7FM or livestream at http://coastaccessradio.org.nz/Listen/index.aspx  The message and prayers will also be posted to the sermon page on this website.

If at this time you need someone to chat with then please call the church office 04 2987766 or email office@pb.org.nz and we’ll get back to you.

And we are also on Facebook  https://www.facebook.com/paraparaumubaptist
