This coming week

Woohoo level two! However, churches are still unable to meet at this stage so still no gathered meetings for us. This will be reviewed by the leadership in a couple of weeks and we will advise what steps we will take then to reopen for services if we are given permission to do so.

Like many others I have managed during this period of lockdown to catch up on a few movies and one that I had been waiting to see was The Rise of Skywalker, the latest in the Star Wars Saga. It’s a movie that can be watched by itself but it makes much more sense if we are familiar with the previous movies. Some things are just easier to follow when we know what went before. An example of this is the book of Acts in the Bible. We can read this as a standalone book but it makes more sense when we see it as the second part in a series of books. The Book of Acts is, as Luke (the Gospel writer not the Star Wars character) says, the continuing story of Jesus Christ and the establishment of the kingdom of God here on earth and it too makes more sense when we understand what came before. Starting this Sunday we will be exploring this book and hearing how the Gospel story moved from Jerusalem out to the ancient world.

And again this coming Sunday we will be holding a virtual morning tea for all those who would like to join us via zoom. A link will be sent out separately for that.

As per the last month our services will continue to be on air, Sundays @10.30am and again @ 8pm on Thursday evening on Coast Access Radio 104.7FM or livestream at http://coastaccessradio.org.nz/Listen/index.aspx  The message and prayers will also be posted to the sermon page on this website.

If at this time you need someone to chat with then please call Andrew 0225166334 or the church office 2987766 or office@pb.org.nz and we’ll get back to you.
