It was so good to see everyone last week and to be able to meet together again.  This week some of our small groups will kick off again, so if you are looking for people to connect with, then please let us know. After two months of lockdown we are now free to meet again without any restrictions.  It will  be great to see life return to some level of normality. We're back

Hi everyone. We are NOW open and able to meet for services. This coming Sunday 10.00am we will be meeting although at this stage we are still required to meet all social distancing and contact tracing requirements. We recognise that some of you may be frustrated by this but it looks like it may only be for another couple of weeks. Pentecost Sunday

This Friday the number of people who can gather will rise to 100 people which means that we can now look at reopening for services. The leadership have made the decision that we will look at reopening on Sunday 7 June – the week after the holiday weekend.  So this weekend go away and  catch up with family and we’ll still be on air for you to listen to. Still waiting

Our second week of level two is here and most of us will be enjoying the freedom this has brought. We can now shop, go out for meal and get a haircut. However, we are still unable to meet for public worship and many people have found this frustrating, feeling in some way that it is unfair. This coming week

Woohoo level two! However, churches are still unable to meet at this stage so still no gathered meetings for us. This will be reviewed by the leadership in a couple of weeks and we will advise what steps we will take then to reopen for services if we are given permission to do so. This Coming Sunday

After 6 weeks of lock-down perhaps you are beginning to feel a little bit cooped up and are looking forward to being able to get out and about.  At this stage we are not sure how long we will be at level three but it does appear that even at level two it will be some time before we can hold public gatherings – which of course means that it may still be a while before we can hold public meetings. We are still operational

Like many other churches we have now closed our Sunday morning gathered worship services. But we have NOT shut-down, we are open and will continue to help you worship God, care for you and help you to care for others. One unexpected aspect of this is that we have been asked to provide a slot each Sunday on the local community radio station. So we will be preparing some music, a message and prayers for that slot. Dealing with the Covid -19 Virus

The elders have met to discuss our response and responsibilities with regard to the Covid-19 virus outbreak. We have decided to take the following steps in response to guidance from the NZ Government, Baptist Union and Health Officials.We will continue with services and small group meetings while there are no reported cases of community transmission of the virus. Coming Up this week

This week we will be thinking about now Jesus welcomed those who were on the fringes of society. We will be looking at the story of The Ten Lepers, found in Luke 17:11-19 who were banned from society because they were considered unclean.  A bit like being put in to isolation while the authorities check if you have Covid-19, except that in Jesus day people assumed you were sick because you had sinned and sinners were pushed to the fringes of society. Mainly Music Has Started!

What a great start to Mainly Music last week. Lots of caregivers and their little ones turned up to move to the music and enjoy getting to know each other. If you would like to come and join us then you are most welcome.  Mainly Music runs every Wednesday from 10am for half an hour during the school term.
