Is it worth it?

Over the summer break I came across a quote by C.S. Lewis, creator of the Narnia stories, and self-confessed reluctant convert to Christianity. Lewis wrote these words

“Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance,
the only thing it cannot be is moderately important.”  ― C.S. Lewis

These words remind us that some things can never be only a little bit important – their truth changes everything about the way we live.  Or at least it should. It reminded me that if the story of Jesus is true then it is really the greatest story in all human history and has huge implications for how I and others live their lives. If it is false, then it is the greatest lie ever told. But it can’t be only a little bit true, it is, or it isn’t.

What story, or truth, forms the basis of your life? Is it true? Or is it false? Is it so significant that it will change your life and those you care about? Is it of any worth?

If you know little or nothing of the Jesus story, then we would love to talk to you about the person we believe changes everything.

Mainly Music – In recess till 8 February 2023. Wednesday from 10.00am. This programme is a fun way for parents and their children to spend quality time together based around music and movement. It is an opportunity for us as a church to connect with and offer something back to the community of which we are a part. It’s also a way for us to demonstrate care, concern and support for those with young children.

Small Groups. We have several groups meeting. Contact the church office@pb.org.nz if you would like to join one.
