This coming Sunday is the second Sunday of Advent, which marks the period of time in the church year, as we wait and prepare for the arrival of Christmas day. The theme for this week is peace. Peace is not just the absence of conflict but the good news that everything is in harmony with each other – God and us, us and others, us and the world we live in.
John is his Gospel wrote these words, spoken by Jesus,
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart.
And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give.
So don’t be troubled or afraid.
(Joh 14:27)
In a world where peace seems too difficult to find, perhaps Jesus can be the source of peace you need in your situation.

This Sunday we continue our observance of Advent as we continue our countdown to Christmas.
Mainly Music – Wednesday from 10.00am. This programme is a fun way for parents and their children to spend quality time together based around music and movement. It is an opportunity for us as a church to connect with and offer something back to the community of which we are a part. It’s also a way for us to demonstrate care, concern and support for those with young children.
