For all creation

The Good News of the Jesus story is that God wants to make new every aspect of our world and that includes the environment in which we live. The Psalms or Poems of the Bible tell how the whole of creation longs to see the world made good. Listen to these words from Psalm 96.

Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice!
Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise!
Let the fields and their crops burst out with joy!
Let the trees of the forest sing for joy before the LORD, for he is coming!
(Psa 96:11-12
)

In the meantime it is our task to look after God’s creation, to care for it and to nurture it. As part of that process we as a church are exploring what it means to be an eco-church, a church that seeks to be active in caring and encouraging others to care for the wonderful world God created. To find out more about the eco-church movement check out www.ecochurch.org.nz

Mainly Music – Wednesday from 10.00am. This programme is a fun way for parents and their children to spend quality time together based around music and movement. It is an opportunity for us as a church to connect with and offer something back to the community of which we are a part. It’s also a way for us to demonstrate care, concern and support for those with young children.

Small Groups. We have several groups meeting. Contact the church office@pb.org.nz if you would like to join one.
