Thanks

Next Monday is Anzac Day.  A day when we remember those who were sent on our behalf to protect and serve our country. While we may not all agree on the worthiness of those wars, we can still recognise their sacrifice and service. Especially when many of them had no choice about going. I once talked with an older person  who still remembered the day, when as a child,  he watched his mother clear the mailbox and saw her pull out the draft letter for his father and saw the look of dismay that crossed his mother’s face. Fortunately for him and her the war ended before his father had to leave.

As we remember those who have sacrificed their lives for others on the battlefield, it might also be a good time for us to remember all those who have sacrificed to keep us all safe during the pandemic. So to all those who have given up their own lives so that others might live, we say Thank you!

We will be holding a physical service this coming Sunday open to anyone. We do require facemasks to be worn and social distancing is still in place. We look forward to seeing you all again.

If you need support during this time then please make contact with Andrew on 0223075225.

To join with us on air tune in to Coast Access Radio 104.7FM from 10.00am or livestream at http://coastaccessradio.org.nz...  The message and prayers will also be posted to the sermon page on this website.

If you are struggling at this time and just need someone to talk to then please email us @ office@pb.org.nz and we will make contact with you.

This Sunday we are looking at Luke 24:13-33 as two disciples encounter the risen Jesus on the road to Emmaus.

Mainly Music – Will recommence on Wednesday 4 May from 10.00am. We do ask that you wear a mask. This programme is a fun way for parents and their children to spend quality time together based around music and movement. It is an opportunity for us as a church to connect with and offer something back to the community of which we are a part. It’s also a way for us to demonstrate care, concern and support for those with young children.

Small Groups. Contact the church office@pb.org.nz if you would like to join one.

And we are also on Facebook  https://www.facebook.com/parap...
