The suffering we inflict

Like many of you I watched with sadness this week as Putin ordered troops into Ukraine.  Regardless of the reasons he used to justify this action, the end result is that ordinary people – men, women and children are the ones who suffer. And this is always the way of war - suffering and death march arm in arm with the troops and guns. It may still be a long way from home but in our global village we too see the images of pain and sorrow. We are all impacted by this at some level. My heart goes out to those who are suffering at this time.

Paul writing to the church at Colossae knew about the impact of broken relationships and how left to fester they cause suffering and sorrow. So in this letter he talks about relationships between those with power and those without, between men and women, parents and children, masters and slaves and the need for us as God’s people to be loving and forgiving in whatever situation we find ourselves. I wonder what you might need to do to restore the broken relationships in your life?

Mainly Music -  Due to omicron we are offering sessions on a week by week basis at the moment. Please check with church to see if this is still on.
