Set free

This week I came across these words by John Newton, the writer of Amazing Grace. ‘I am not what I ought to be. I am not what I want to be. I am not what I hope to be. But still, I am not what I used to be. And by the grace of God, I am what I am.’ These words remind us that often we fail to live up to our own expectations but they also remind us that in Jesus we can be changed and renewed by God’s grace.  Newton the slavetrader discovered the power of God’s grace – a grace that allows us to change, to be set free from the past, to be something more than we ever thought we could be.

This Sunday Julia, one of our own members, is sharing with us some insights from the book of Jeremiah.
