Christ as Son and Servant in Mark’s Gospel.
Over the next few weeks we will be exploring how Mark identifies Jesus as both the Son of God and the servant of all – a son with the authority of God and yet a son who chooses to act as a servant to those he came to show God’s love to. A son who ultimately will give his life on behalf of all people. What can Mark teach us about living in such a way that we are so confident in who we belong to, that we too are prepared to live sacrificially on behalf of others? This Sunday we will explore Mark’s proclamation that Jesus is the Son of God.
