This coming Sunday marks the beginning of the church year. Advent is about waiting and watching, something most of us are not very good at. For hundreds of years the people of God had waited, hoping for the birth of the promised Messiah. It was a long wait and over time some people began to wonder if it as ever going to happen. Maybe God had given up on them, maybe it was just a pipedream. Until one night a messenger from God appears to a young woman and said the time had finally come – the Messiah was to be born, and she was going to be his mother. It all sounds a bit far-fetched and I’m sure there were many who doubted her claim of a visit from God. 2000 years later we still celebrate the birth of that baby and the good news that God has not forgotten us.

A children’s programme is available during the service and a crèche for younger children.
To join with us on air, tune in to Coast Access Radio 104.7FM from 10.00am or livestream at http://coastaccessradio.org.nz...
Mainly Music – Wednesdays from 10.00am during school terms. This programme is a fun way for parents and their children to spend quality time together based around music and movement. It is an opportunity for us as a church to connect with and offer something back to the community of which we are a part. It is also a way for us to demonstrate care, concern, and support for those with young children.
Small Groups. We have several groups meeting. Contact the church office@pb.org.nz if you would like to join one.
