Faith

Steering wheel

Faith is something most of us exercise every day. We have faith that our cars will start, that planes will fly, that trains hopefully will be on time. We plan our days assuming that ordinary everyday things will happen because they happened yesterday. But what if they didn’t? What would life be like if on any given day, things just didn’t work the way we expect. If our cars only worked intermittently or only under certain conditions. How much faith could we then place in them? Hebrews 11 is a chapter in the Bible that lists the names of people throughout the Bible who placed their faith in God and who found that faith to be rewarded. I wonder who or what you put your faith in on the journey of life?

Got questions about Jesus? Why not check out the ‘Who is Jesus?’ link on the page menu.

If you are struggling at this time and just need someone to talk to, then please email us at office@pb.org.nz or call 0223075225 and we will contact you.

This coming Sunday: We continue our series looking at the life of Abraham. What can we learn from this great figure about faith and failure? Mark will look at Hebrews 11.

As it is the school holidays, there will be no children’s programme, however clip board activities will be available and a crèche for younger children.

To join with us on air, tune in to Coast Access Radio 104.7FM from 10.00am or livestream at http://coastaccessradio.org.nz...

Mainly Music – Wednesdays from 10.00am during school terms. This programme is a fun way for parents and their children to spend quality time together based around music and movement. It is an opportunity for us as a church to connect with and offer something back to the community of which we are a part. It is also a way for us to demonstrate care, concern, and support for those with young children.

Small Groups. We have several groups meeting. Contact the church office@pb.org.nz if you would like to join one.
