It can be easy to think that our organisation or our political party or ‘us’ have the answer to all the issues we face. If everyone just did what we suggested, then life would be great. The reality is though, that none of us have all the answers or the solutions to the issues we face as a society. And often our solutions may make things better for us but much worse for others. What we need is to work together, to seek solutions from others, to hear from those we often exclude from our deliberations. But to do that requires humility, the willingness to acknowledge that while we may have some good ideas, we don’t have them all. So how do we learn to work together? How can we be humble enough to listen to those we disagree with? Jesus invites us to adopt the role of a servant, one who seeks not their own welfare, but the welfare of others. I wonder what it might mean for us as we look at local issues to consider how we can work together to find the best solutions for everyone.

Mainly Music – Wednesdays from 10.00am during school terms. This programme is a fun way for parents and their children to spend quality time together based around music and movement. It is an opportunity for us as a church to connect with and offer something back to the community of which we are a part. It is also a way for us to demonstrate care, concern, and support for those with young children.
Small Groups. We have several groups meeting. Contact the church office@pb.org.nz if you would like to join one.
