I read the headlines today about the ‘Middle East’ where Israel and Iran are firing missiles at each other. But this is no game of battleships, each of those missiles carries with it death and destruction for those in its path. On the ground, the death toll continues to climb and the number of injured and maimed fills the hospitals. There is no easy answer as to who is right and who is wrong and how we might justify those answers. What is clear, is that 50 years of animosity, passed from generation to generation has not solved the situation. Jesus called us to be peacemakers, to work for and encourage peaceful solutions. While we may not have any control on the Middle East what can we do in our own situations to be people who work for peace and justice, to be people who show love and mercy? Who might I be a peacemaker to?

Mainly Music – Wednesdays from 10.00am during school terms. This programme is a fun way for parents and their children to spend quality time together based around music and movement. It is an opportunity for us as a church to connect with and offer something back to the community of which we are a part. It is also a way for us to demonstrate care, concern, and support for those with young children.
Small Groups. We have several groups meeting. Contact the church office@pb.org.nz if you would like to join one.
