Great movies or books are those that tell an engaging story. Perhaps about a person who has preformed incredible feats of human endurance or a tale of intrigue and mystery that keeps the reader or watcher guessing until the very end. Really great stories also help us to question our own values and behaviour, to challenge why we see the world the way we do and why we behave the way we do.
The story of Jesus is a story that calls everything we believe into question, who are we, why are we here, what is our value and worth? It’s also a story that is filled with intrigue, with mystery and some outrageous claims about God revealed in human form.
And it’s a great story to tell – of a God who creates and desperately loves those created in God’s own image. A God who is willing to die to show the depth of that love. A God who invites us all to dine together and to celebrate life together. Maybe it’s time to rediscover the story.

Mainly Music – Wednesdays from 10.00am during school terms. This programme is a fun way for parents and their children to spend quality time together based around music and movement. It is an opportunity for us as a church to connect with and offer something back to the community of which we are a part. It is also a way for us to demonstrate care, concern, and support for those with young children.
Small Groups. We have several groups meeting. Contact the church office@pb.org.nz if you would like to join one.
