Changed

Have you ever had a surprise encounter that changed your view of things entirely. Perhaps you met a famous person and discovered that your impression of them was entirely wrong. Instead of been arrogant and stuck-up as you imagined, they were genuinely caring and humble.

Saul, a character from the New Testament, had very definite views about Jesus. In fact, he held quite violent views about who Jesus was and what he represented. He was opposed to all Jesus stood for and had made it his mission in life to chase down those who spoke on Jesus’ behalf. Until one day, his life is turned upside-down. Saul encounters the risen Jesus, and he goes from been a chief antagonist of Jesus to his most enthusiastic supporter. Saul becomes Paul, the great Apostle of the early church.

Paul’s experience has been repeated thousands, if not millions of times around the world. People have had their worlds transformed as they encounter Jesus. I wonder if you have encountered him yet? I wonder how such an encounter might change your life?

If you are struggling at this time and just need someone to talk to, then please email us at office@pb.org.nz or call 0223075225 and we will contact you.

This Sunday @ 10am we will be hearing the story of Paul’s encounter with the risen Jesus.

A crèche for younger children is available.

This programme is a fun way for parents and their children to spend quality time together based around music and movement. It is an opportunity for us as a church to connect with and offer something back to the community of which we are a part. It’s also a way for us to demonstrate care, concern, and support for those with young children.
